Name of the event
Blue Ocean Awards, French SMEs create new markets
Pitch
Co-organized this year by HEC Paris, the consulting firm AXESSIO and the DGE, the Blue Ocean Awards, for their third edition, will reward French SMEs that have succeeded in creating their own "Blue Ocean" market on 30 November 2016 at the Ministry of the Economy.
Axelle Lemaire, Secretary of State for Digital and Innovation, will preside over the ceremony and Renée Mauborgne, author of the best-selling Blue Ocean Strategy, will be our guest of honour for the second time.
More than 300 participants are present every year to take part in this unmissable event of Innovation by Value.
Today, while their market is becoming increasingly mature, many French companies, whether SMEs, ETIs or large groups, are managing to free themselves from competition by creating their own market space, via a "divergent" offer, which simultaneously meets the priority challenges of their customers and non-customers, breaking with the standards of their home market.
Two categories are distinguished: Baby and Mentor. The Blue Ocean Awards Mentor, an SME already mature in their development, will pass the baton to the Blue Ocean Awards Baby, which rewards young startups in the making.
Last year, Renée Mauborgne and bpifrance presented a Blue Ocean Award Mentor to Scality, Compte Nickel and Unilend, who, with the jury, passed the baton to the 6 Blue Ocean Awards Baby: Glowee, B.Sensory, Finalcad, Fretbay, Data&Data and Merch. Finally, Naturalpad received the Blue Ocean Award Social from DreamStarter, which promotes societal innovations to citizens.
